Scientific Games’ scores new three-year supply contract with German lottery

Global leader in the gaming and lottery industries, Scientific Games Corporation (NASDAQ: SGMS), will continue providing its instant games product to LOTTO Thüringen in central Germany after being awarded a new, three-year contract.

According to the official press release (pdf), the company was chosen after a “competitive procurement process” based on its “value added products and services” including digital instant games, otherwise known as ‘eInstants,’ which will be launched by the German Lottery in 2021.

Under the terms of the agreement, the multi-year contract may be extended for an additional year.

Chief Executive Officer for LOTTO Thüringen, Jochen Staschewski, said…

“We look forward to continuing our successful partnership with Scientific Games and the sustainable growth of instant game revenues in Thuringia. Vice President of Instant Products for Scientific Games, John Schulz, said…

“We have offered LOTTO Thüringen instant game products with value adds that have proven ability to responsibly increase revenue for our lottery customers around the world. The potential of instant games, sold both at retail and online/mobile, is not fully realized in Europe however they are the biggest and most successful lottery product category in the U.S. and still growing.”

The U.S.-based company that in 1974 launched the very first secure retail instant game, currently supplies services, games, or technology to over 150 lotteries in 50 countries across the globe.

Greece success:

The current contract extension is on the heels of the Nevada-based company being named best betting and gaming employer in Greece by Great Place to Work® Hellas, while the company’s digital arm, SG Digital, was named one of the top places to work in the southeastern European country.

Scientific Games was positioned 7th in the overall rankings for companies with more than 250 employees, going up against major global brands such as German courier, parcel, and express mail service, DHL Express, and French multinational insurance firm, AXA Insurance.
